Trudvang CCS ANS (Trudvang), TES CO2 Company GmbH (TES), and Cemex Zement GmbH (Cemex) have signed an agreement to jointly mature and enable a carbon capture, transportation and storage (CCS) value chain from Cemex capture facility in Rüdersdorf to the Trudvang CO2 storage on Norwegian Continental Shelf, via an intermediate CO2 gathering hub and (shipping) export terminal at Wilhelmshaven being developed by TES.
Henning Eide, the Project Director for Trudvang, shared his excitement about the partnership. “We are delighted to start this collaboration with TES and Cemex. Dewi ab Iorwerth, Commercial Lead, has been striving towards this opportunity for a long time, resulting in a partnership that advances our mission of developing an optimized, safe, and efficient CCS value chain. By merging our expertise and resources, we plan to address the technical, commercial, and regulatory challenges that lie ahead,” he said.
By combining efforts and knowledge with TES and Cemex, Trudvang enhances its dedication to reducing climate emissions through CCS.
